Hilde Elbers

Moved by contact

This workshop is for schools, private organizations ore businesses.

2 day workshop with:

Hilde Elbers: Dance / Life – Art process and contact improvisation.

Contact Improvisation is said to be the exploration of physics, the physicality that guide us through the dance, however in the meeting point of two bodies much more information is being transmitted. Depending on your state of being and the person you relate to different emotions, wants, wills, states of mind, fears and expectations are being communicated, whether you are conscious of it or not.

In this 2 day workshop we will work with the themes: passive and active, balance and off balance. Through the physical entrance of duet work we will connect our movements to our imagination and our sensations. Allowing those to shape and inspire our dances.

We will work with movement, drawing, poetic writing and improvisational 15performance. This integrated approach allows you to explore various ways of being in contact and relating to others. It opens the space for you to uncover how the theme of contact is currently present in your life. You will generate new recourses along the way, and gain more possibilities and depth in both your contact dances and the contact you make every day.

Move your body and be moved by the contact that you are making!

All levels, all ages and every BODY is welcome.
